Wendy Jones, Ph.D., is a practicing psychotherapist and former English professor known for her work on the connection between literature and the mind-brain sciences. She is the author of Jane on the Brain: Exploring the Science of Social Intelligence with Jane Austen. Jones received her Ph.D. in English Literature from Cornell University and subsequently was a senior lecturer and a Fellow at the Society for the Humanities at Cornell, and a visiting professor at Professor at Williams College, the University of Rochester, and Syracuse University. After working as a crisis line counselor for several years, she was inspired to become a psychotherapist. She returned to school at Binghamton University, completing an MSW.
