Sherry Grace, Ph.D., FCCS, FAACVPR, CRFC is Full Professor at York University in Canada. She is also Sr. Scientist with KITE-Toronto Rehabilitation Institute’s Cardiovascular Rehabilitation & Prevention Program of the internationally-acclaimed University Health Network hospitals.

Through these positions, Prof. Grace researches and supports heart patients to thrive mentally and physically, as well as teaches university students these principles. She leads training courses for cardiac clinicians to incorporate mental health in care. She also “walks the talk” in her personal life, role modeling mentally and physically-healthy living at home.

Professor Grace earned her doctorate in Applied Social Psychology. She has over 20 years of science and policy experience focused on optimizing heart patient outcomes, including mental health. She has published ~300 peer-reviewed publications, and held over 55 research grants. She has also authored clinical practice guidelines, and her work informs many major policy statements in the field.

Prof. Grace is invited to share her research internationally, giving presentations in over 30 countries. She has earned awards from the American and Canadian Associations of Cardiovascular Rehabilitation, among other clinical Societies for her work. She has served the World Health Organization, among other international health associations, and is an Associate Editor for the Journal of Cardiopulmonary Rehabilitation and Prevention.
