About

Melissa Gerson, LCSW, founded Columbus Park Center for Eating Disorders in 2008 and has led its evolution into a nationally recognized center of excellence. As Clinical Director, she works closely with colleagues to deliver the most effective and efficient treatments. She believes that full recovery is possible and that treatment should be focused, fast-moving, and time-limited. Her team offers a range of specialized services, including individual and group therapy, meal support, and an Intensive Outpatient Program.

In addition to training and experience treating adult eating disorders, as a Certified Family Based Treatment (FBT) therapist, Gerson has the capacity to support children, adolescents, and their families via FBT, treating even the most acute conditions in the home environment and avoiding the disruption of hospitalization.
