Dr. Lynn Margolies is a Ph.D. licensed psychologist, former Harvard Medical School faculty and fellow. In private practice for over 20 years, Dr. Margolies has worked with many types of people and families, often indirectly helping additional family members by providing interpersonal consultation and coaching to the parent or spouse that comes in to treatment. Her clinical experience includes helping high-functioning, bright people overcome difficulties such as: family/parenting/relationship issues, midlife crisis, and maladaptive patterns of behavior, as well as those struggling with acute or chronic conditions such as: depression, anxiety, past abuse, and complex trauma syndromes.

Dr. Margolies grew up in Puerto Rico and New York and has worked in urban outpatient, inpatient and residential treatment. Her academic training, clinical and life experience, intuition and personal style together give her the advantage of understanding and relating to people from all walks of life.

Dr. Margolies has appeared in the media on the news and talk shows commenting on current news events and trauma, as well as written columns for various publications. She has been interviewed by the Boston Globe, Boston Herald, Boston Magazine, WebMD, Women's Health, Teen Voices, and the Massachusetts Psychologist.
