Kenneth Silvestri Ed.D.

Kenneth Silvestri, Ed.D., has been in private practice as a psychotherapist and homeopath since 1980. He holds a doctoral degree from Columbia University in Family Cultural Studies (anthropology and psychology). In addition, he has been the recipient of national fellowships in the social sciences at the University of Chicago and the University of Pennsylvania.

Silvestri has participated in post-doctoral training at the Ackerman Institute for Family Therapy in New York City and the Multi-Cultural Family Institute in New Jersey. He is also a Certified Classical Homeopath (CCH), having completed intensive certification programs with renowned homeopaths Luc De Schepper and David Little. Silvestri has been an adjunct professor at the graduate schools of Montclair State University, the College of Saint Elizabeth, and most recently at Kean University, over a 25-year period. In addition, he serves as a Clinical Professor for Daybreak University’s graduate family Counseling program and is a Clinical Assistant Professor of Family and Community Medicine at the New York Medical College. He has published more than one hundred professional articles and monographs, as well as several chapters for books on mental health/homeopathy and selected poems. Silvestri’s new book, Widening Your Lens: How to See your Life Differently, was recently published. He has conducted numerous workshops on family therapy, alternative education, communication skills, forgiveness, and homeopathy. He is an American Association of Marriage and Family Therapy (AAMFT) clinical member, AAMFT certified clinical supervisor, American Family Therapy Academy member, and an active black belt student of Aikido.

Through integration of homeopathy and psychotherapy – as well as his overall systemic approach to healing – Silvestri has assisted many in finding resolution of the emotional and/or physical challenges they presented to him.
