About

Chandra Davis, ATR-BC, LPC, LCPAT, ATCS, is a board-certified art therapist and licensed counselor. In her private practice, she works with adolescents and adults, incorporating intersectionality-informed approaches with Internal Family Systems (IFS), Somatic Experiencing, psychodynamic techniques, and various creative practices. Throughout her career, she has devoted significant time and energy to working with Black and Indigenous People of Color (BIPOC) who struggle with race-based stress and trauma. She has co-facilitated groups for BIPOC women that focus on the intersectionality of race, gender, and intergenerational trauma.

Her contributions extend beyond the therapy room; she enjoys presenting at conferences, co-authoring publications, and collaborating with other clinicians. Davis is also a professorial lecturer of art therapy at George Washington University, where she teaches courses in trauma and practicum supervision. On her "days off," she enjoys taking care of her houseplants, studying astrology, and watching anime with her kids.
