Alexandra Gold Ph.D.

Alexandra Gold, Ph.D., is a Clinical Fellow in Psychology at Harvard Medical School and Massachusetts General Hospital in the Dauten Family Center for Bipolar Treatment Innovation. Her clinical experiences include delivering cognitive-behavioral-based therapies for bipolar disorder and other mental health conditions in both outpatient and inpatient psychiatric settings. Her clinical research on bipolar disorder and substance use disorders has been funded by the National Institute of Mental Health, and she has co-authored numerous scientific publications and book chapters on bipolar disorder as well as other mental health-relevant topics and conditions.

Gold has presented her research at both national and international conferences. She has an interest in disseminating science-backed information about the treatment of mental health conditions, such as bipolar disorder, to the general public as a means of increasing access to information about gold-standard mental health treatments. She completed her Bachelor of Arts degree in Psychology and Cognitive Science at Georgetown University. She completed her Ph.D. training in Clinical Psychology at Boston University, and she completed her predoctoral clinical internship at Harvard Medical School and Massachusetts General Hospital.
